1991-1992 - Tales of a 90's N.I.G.G.A.

"Tales of a 90's Nigga" was the title of a 2Pac's project - maybe an EP - in the beginning of 1992. It was supposed to contain tracks that have not been published on "2Pacalypse Now".

So this bootleg gathers tracks from 1991-early 1992, recorded especially for this project, or leftover tracks from "2Pacalypse Now".
If You look at the 2Pacalypse Now's booklet, you'd notice that all songs have been recorded by the Underground Railroad. The group includes Raw Fusion (Money B & Chopmaster J), Live Squad (Stretch & Majesty), Big D The Impossible, Pee Wee, Poppi Jeremy (a singer) and Digital Underground members. The Underground Railroad produced a huge amount of tracks for Pac until Death Row's signature. At this time, Randy « Stretch » Walker of the Live Squad became Pac's best friend. They recorded together many tracks until the New York's shooting in late '94, that makes 2Pac re-recording and renaming "Americaz Crucify" in "Me Against The World".

DETAILED TRACKLIST

01. Hymn of the 90's N.I.G.G.A. feat. Mouse Man & Mocedes (aka Mopreme) / Big D The Impossible
  • Awfully remixed on Loyal To The Game (2004, Amaru) as "N.I.G.G.A. [Never Ignorant Getting Goals Accomplished] feat. Jadakiss". They say "92" in the song and "Underground Railroad". Mopreme here has here his first nickname that will then become The Wycked (on Strictly 4 My Niggaz) and then simply Mopreme and Komeini with tha Outlaw Immortalz.
02. Crooked Nigga Too feat. Stretch / Stretch
  • The title made think that Pac recorded it as a follower for "Crooked Ass Nigga" from 2Pacalypse Now. But it could also be a track for 2Pacalypse Now.
03. Scared Straight '91 feat. Ray Luv (of Strictly Dope) / Dj Fuze
  • Remixed on Pac's Life (2006, Amaru) as a japan bonus track. This track features his old partner from Strictly Dope. This is probably a second version from a 90's original.
04. Do 4 Love [original] feat. Schoovy Schmoov (of Digital Underground) (chorus) / ?
  • This song has been re-recorded in 1995 for When I Get free/Euthanasia album as "Sucka 4 Love", version which has been remixed on R U Still Down (1997).
05. Tearz Of A Clown [version II] / Chopmaster J
  • 2Pac probably decided to re-record this song for 2Pacalyspe Now. So he replaced the first verse by a new third verse. But we often find a remix combining the four verses.
06. Break Em Off Somethin' feat. Dub-C (aka WC), Money B & Debbie Deb / Dj Fuze
  • Another freestyle with Raw Fusion, over almost the same music than "Funky Freestyle". So it's probably from 1990, with Dub-C/WC from groups Low Profile and The Maad Circle with Coolio and Sir Jinx.
07. It Ain't Necessaryly So feat. Shock G / Digital Underground - [re-captured]
  • We hear the track in a video from Tupac in New-York, probably for the recording of Juice movie in 91. 2Pac listen that song in his car, talk over it, so it could be from early 91.
08. Dopefiend's Diner / Big D The Impossible
  • Remixed on Best of 2Pac, Part 2:Life (2007, Amaru).
Tupac here tells a tragic storiy and is almost singing.
09. Revenge of a Lunatic / Big D The Impossible
  • Leftover track from 2Pacalypse Now. Probably a first version of "Tha Lunatic". It contains a verse of it and a verse taken back from "U Don't Wanna Battle", a One Nation Emcees song from 1989.
10. Resist The Temptation / Big D The Impossible
  • Sounds like a Strictly Dope sessions from 1990. Remixed on Best of 2Pac, Part 1:Thug (2007, Amaru)
11. (Daze of a) Criminal [remix] / ?
  • Unofficially published in The Here After (1999, ZYX). This is a remix from a One Nation Emcees song (1989-1990).
12. U Don't Wanna Battle (I Thought U Knew) feat. Ryan D / ?
  • One Nation Emcees Sessions (1989-1990). This track will be re-recorded in 91 as a freestyle titled "I thought u knew" without the singing hook.
13. Pass The 40 feat. Pee Wee, Saafir, Money B, Stretch, Bulldog, D The Poet 151, Mac Mahone / Dj Fuze
  • From the compilation "Hollywood Records Sampler" (1992, Hollywood Basic). This has probably been recorded during the Raw Fusion's album sessions.

Bonus Tracks
Nuttin' Nis Funky (Live) feat. Digital Underground / Shock G
